I’ve been busy but finally got to Fantagraphic’s blog for the first time in a month. They were so nice to kick us some love we just have to do the same.
Check out the article called Last Weekend about our lovely evening early this month that included the Kickstart Kuties artshow and then ended with karaoke with the Woodrings, Tom Dougherty and some newfound Fantagraphics peeps (Gregory Zura and his lovely wife and friends).

Over the weekend, Animal Talk, a no-kill shelter and pet store, was brutally ransacked. The perps not only stole money, an iguana and other reptiles, but let all the cats out of their cages and stomped on some poor small rodents. Missy Young, the owner of Animal Talk, is a selfless woman, never refusing any cat a place to eat or sleep. This is just a juvenile and irresponsible act of terror. If you or anyone you know has any clue what happened, please call the Seattle Police Department or Pasado’s Safe Haven at (206) 779-9102. Also, you can make a donation through PayPal here. We are encouraging people to buy all their animal food and products to help support them in this time of crisis. Animal Talk is located at 6514 Roosevelt Way NE Seattle WA 98115.

Today I watched a repeat of the 2006 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Joey Chestnut is an “American Hero” and a “great athlete” according to the ESPN commentary. George Shea, chair of the International Federation of Competitive Eating was quoted as saying “The Fourth of July has been stolen from Americans because of Kobayashi’s dominance and now America has someone they can get excited about.” Let’s hear it for America!!! Woot!!!
Too bad the “Americans” got spanked again by a record-breaking-54-hot-dog-eating Kobayashi representing ALL of Japan, yo!
Now who wants to give props to Japan by going to see Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift with me?
