The Oregon Convention Center in Portland is home to the Stumptown Comics Festival this year. Stumptown is growing rapidly, due to all the awesome participants and their loyal fans. Like every other comic-con, this one has attracted a number of crafts vendors, as well as small publishers, including first timers at Stumptown, Fantagraphics Books. If you can afford the tank of gas, and don’t have any Halloween parties to haunt this weekend, it’s totally worth the drive. Notables include Colleen Coover, Bwana Spoons, Top Shelf Productions, Oni Press, Karin Yamagiwa Madan and Suzanne Kaufman, Tim Swope and many more.
